At Off-Grid Shooting®, we provide instruction rooted in over 100 years of world-class competitve shooting and precision reloading. Our mandate is to create a learning environment with a foundation in safety and a platform of fundamentals which the shooter can leverage to achieve their desired potential.

We have designed and created the most unique experiences and courses to accommodate all who are interested in advancing their firearms knowledge and shooting or precision reloading skills.
We offer basic and advanced pistol, rifle, shotgun, personal protection, reloading, and ballistic solution instruction at our local NJ ranges. Need to sight in your rifle for that next big hunt? We can make sure you're dialed in and your DOPE is sound. Training and Instruction
We are based in New Jersey and offer classroom and in-the-field instruction on shooting safety, techniques, tactics, personal protection, and equipment and ammunition selection and usage. We use the most up-to-date firearms and equipment, but if you're interested in firing a specific recent or historic firearm, we probably either have it or can access it for you to try.

Meet the team.
George Kirby is the Founder and President of Off-Grid Shooting®, a subsidiary of The Off-Grid Sportsman®. George is the second generation of competitive shooters and precision reloading and brings over 40 years of experience. His deep knowledge of ballistics and shooting solutions is rooted in engineering, aerodynamics, and statistical training, allowing for a holistic and scientific approach to long-range rifle training and firearm instruction.
George has a bachelor of science in aerospace engineering from Syracuse University and a masters in business administration from Penn State University. He is Six Sigma Blackbelt certified and a Texas State Professional Engineer. George has trained at the Sig Sauer Academy® in advanced and defensive pistol, close quarters pistol operator, and reflexive shooting. He is NRA Instructor and Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED certified, and is TECC Tactical Trauma trained.
Robert Angelica is the Vice President of Operations for Off-Grid Shooting®. Rob is an avid outdoorsman with a lifelong passion for hunting and fishing. Growing up surrounded by nature, he developed a deep appreciation for wildlife and the importance of conservation. Rob has experience hunting various game and takes pride in practicing ethical hunting methods that respect the environment. He is an accomplished firearms practitioner and small business owner, and a historian of foreign and domestic small arms from throughout the last century.
Rob has a Bachelors of Science in Finance from Salve Regina University and has completed several advanced firearms courses. In addition to running operations at Off-Grid Shooting, he is an assistant firearms instructor and when he's not on the range, Rob can be found hunting tuna offshore as Vice President of Marine Operations at Off-Grid Sport Fishing. He is always eager to share his knowledge and experiences with fellow enthusiasts, encouraging others to safely embrace the beauty of nature while promoting sustainable practices.

Long Range Rifle Instruction in North Western Arizona
The Arizona Strip region of North Western Arizona is rugged and beautiful. With bountiful public land to enjoy, many extreme long range shooters come to the area given the wide-open landscape and broad visibility down range. The region also offers the ability to access the Grand Canyon National Park and north rim which is a mere 80 miles from St. George and the Southern Utah border. The area is known for access to other national parks such as Zion and Bryce.
We use four wheel drive trucks to access the best and safest range areas. Several caliber rifles are available depending on the skill level of the shooter including 6.5 and 300 PRC, 375 CheyTac, 416 and 50 BMG.
